Designed for vinyl enthusiasts who want hands-on control and an upgrade path that grows with their collection, the Audio-Technica AT-LP7X is a fully manual belt-drive turntable that pairs thoughtful engineering with a refined matte-black aesthetic. Its 20 mm high-density acrylic platter and 40 mm MDF plinth work together to suppress resonance, while the optical sensor-monitored motor maintains stable rotation at both 33-1/3 and 45 RPM. The J-shaped aluminum tonearm's dual-axis gimbal and precision ball bearings deliver smooth tracking, and the included AT-LT10 headshell with AT-VM95E cartridge gives you a solid starting point. Adjust the vertical tracking angle, anti-skate, and counterweight to dial in your preferred cartridge, or swap to any VM95-series stylus as your ears develop. A built-in switchable MM/MC phono preamplifier means you can connect straight to powered speakers or route through a dedicated amplifier, and the external switching power supply keeps electrical noise out of the signal path. Spring-based, height-adjustable isolation feet help the deck settle into any listening space.
