The fully analog signal path — from the thickened custom permalloy magnetic head through the JRC5532 op-amp to the 3.5mm headphone output — delivers the unmistakable character of tape without digital coloration.

A dual-color all-aluminum alloy chassis keeps the CP13 at just 120 × 88.3 × 31.8 mm and about 310 g, while the 1800mAh polymer battery provides up to 13 hours of playback on a single charge. The 4.2V high-voltage motor power supply with speed stabilization circuit works across a wide range of tape types, and the dual-mode power supply lets you listen while charging via USB-C.
