Description
The Yamaha MusicCast VINYL 500 is a Wi-Fi turntable aimed at vinyl lovers who want networked convenience alongside their records. Playing a record here does not mean staying in one room: the turntable can send its audio to MusicCast speakers elsewhere in the house without needing a receiver in between, and it also pulls in music services through Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, AirPlay 2, and Spotify Connect.
Hookup options are generous. A built-in phono preamp plus dedicated PHONO and LINE RCA outputs mean it can feed almost any amplifier, including older Hi-Fi separates, while an Ethernet jack and dual-band Wi-Fi cover the network side. Its Bluetooth link can send audio to wireless headphones or speakers as well.
Under the dust cover, hardware favors clean playback: a static-balance straight tonearm, an aluminium die-cast platter, and a belt-driven DC motor chosen to cut vibration noise. Both 33-1/3 and 45 rpm speeds are supported, and an MM cartridge comes pre-mounted. The MusicCast app handles multi-room control, and the glossy piano black finish looks sharp on any shelf.
