Description
The Audeze LCD-X is an open-back planar magnetic headphone built for studio mixing, mastering and critical listening. Its extra-large 106mm planar drivers are tuned for accuracy, and the open-back design supports natural soundstage and spatial positioning, so placement of instruments and effects in the mix is easy to judge.
Because the drivers are highly efficient, the LCD-X is easy to drive from any interface, console or device — a practical advantage if you move between a desk setup and a studio without wanting to change amplification. Connectivity is handled by the included braided OCC copper 4-pin XLR combo cable, and a single-ended 1/4" adapter lets the same cable serve balanced and single-ended sources. A standard LCD travel case is included for storage and transport between rooms or sessions.
This unit has leather earpads in a black finish; the LCD-X is also offered in a Leather-Free configuration. If you want a wired, planar-magnetic reference headphone with professional-grade driver design and flexible cabling, the LCD-X is a straightforward choice.
